Art from the heart.

Hello! My name is Vanita Thomas. I have had many titles in life - “artist” was never one of them. My “art-venture” began in April 2021 as a mode of relaxation in the midst of a difficult caregiving journey. At about the same time. I met a wonderful lady, an adoptee, and a foster & adoptive mother who had moved to India 14 years ago from the US. She was caring for 42 orphaned, vulnerable and/or disabled children in a foreign land. I had the privilege of visiting her home in South India earlier this year and was amazed by the love with which she sacrificially cares for them. Being an adoptive mother myself, I understand the extreme dangers these children face without her care and really want to help her financially.

I have since challenged myself to fuel my passion to care for orphaned and vulnerable children with this new found enjoyment of art. So began “Cross Cultural Creations” where I create art from my heart! It weaves together my Indian heritage with my life in the US, and also draws on my strong legacy of faith. This work is painstakingly done with my disabled right hand - so it is a real labor of love. All profits from the sale of my artwork will go towards my friend’s home for vulnerable children. Please read about it in the brochure. My hope is that you would think of those precious children while you enjoy your piece of art - that you would connect with them, pray for them, support them and possibly even visit them in India one day!

Shout out to my family who have worked tirelessly beside me to see this venture take off.

Blessings!

Due to protecting the privacy of the children, I am unable to publicize information on the organization on my website. But, if you are interested, please contact me directly and I will send it to you.
